Klondike Solitaire
Objective: Move all cards to the four foundation piles, building each suit from Ace to King.
Setup
The game consists of:
- Tableau: Seven piles of cards. The first pile has 1 card, the second has 2, and so on up to 7 cards. Only the top card of each pile is face-up.
- Stock: The remaining cards are placed face-down in the stock pile (top-left).
- Waste: Cards drawn from the stock are placed here.
- Foundations: Four empty piles (top-right) where you build your suits from Ace to King.
How to Play
- Draw Cards: Click the stock pile to draw cards. You can choose between Draw 1 or Draw 3 mode using the New Game dropdown.
- Build Tableau: In the tableau, cards must be placed in descending order (King to Ace) and alternate colors (red on black, black on red).
- Move to Foundations: Start each foundation pile with an Ace. Build up by suit (Ace, 2, 3... Jack, Queen, King).
- Empty Spaces: Only Kings can be placed in empty tableau columns.
- Auto-Move: Simply click on a card to automatically move it to the best available position (foundation or tableau).
Game Controls
- Click to Move: Click any card to automatically move it to a valid location.
- Drag and Drop: Drag cards to manually place them on specific piles.
- Auto-Complete: When all cards are face-up and the stock is empty, an Auto-Complete button appears to finish the game automatically.
💡 Tips:
- Try to expose face-down cards as early as possible.
- Don't rush to move cards to foundations - sometimes keeping them in the tableau gives you more options.
- Try to create empty tableau spaces to maneuver Kings.
- In Draw 3 mode, pay attention to the order of cards in the waste pile.
Scoring
- Timer: Starts on your first move. Try to beat your best time!
- Moves: The number of card movements you make.
- Win Rate: Percentage of games won.
- Win Streak: Number of consecutive wins.
Draw Modes
- Draw 1 Card: Easier mode - draw one card at a time from the stock.
- Draw 3 Cards: Classic mode - draw three cards at a time, with only the top card playable.
Spider Solitaire
Objective: Build eight sequences of cards in descending order from King to Ace within the tableau. When a complete sequence is formed, it's automatically removed from the game.
Setup
The game consists of:
- Tableau: Ten piles of cards. The first four piles have 6 cards each, and the last six piles have 5 cards each. Only the top card of each pile is face-up initially.
- Stock: The remaining 50 cards are kept in the stock pile.
- Goal: Remove all eight complete sequences (K-Q-J-10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-A) from the tableau.
How to Play
- Build Down: Cards can be moved from pile to pile in descending order (e.g., 7 on 8, Queen on King).
- Any Color: Unlike Klondike, you can place any card on any other card that's one rank higher, regardless of suit or color.
- Moving Sequences: You can move a group of cards together only if they're in sequence and of the same suit.
- Empty Columns: Any card or valid sequence can be placed in an empty column.
- Deal from Stock: When you run out of moves, click the stock to deal one card to each tableau pile.
- Complete Sequences: When you build a complete King-to-Ace sequence of the same suit, it's automatically removed.
- Auto-Move: Click any card to automatically move it to a valid tableau position.
Game Controls
- Click to Move: Click any movable card to automatically place it on a valid pile.
- Drag and Drop: Drag cards or sequences to manually place them on specific piles.
- Deal Cards: Click the stock pile to deal one card to each of the ten tableau piles.
💡 Tips:
- Focus on building complete suits when possible for easier sequence completion.
- Try to expose face-down cards early in the game.
- Keep one or two columns empty if possible - they're very useful for maneuvering cards.
- Before dealing from the stock, try to make as many moves as possible.
- Plan ahead - some moves might block future possibilities.
- Pay attention to which cards are face-down to avoid blocking important cards.
Strategy
- Build in Suit: Whenever possible, build sequences using the same suit to make complete sequences easier to form.
- Empty Columns: Create and maintain empty columns - they provide maximum flexibility.
- Expose Cards: Prioritize moves that flip over face-down cards.
- Stock Timing: Only deal from the stock when you have no other useful moves.
Winning
You win when all eight sequences (King through Ace of each suit) have been completed and removed from the tableau. The game tracks your progress and celebrates your victory!
